MG DUI Distributor

Description

A DUI is not something you want when driving your MG, unless it’s the DUI Distributor! Of course we don’t condone drinking and driving but we do encourage driving under the influence of more horsepower. That’s what you will get with the Davis Unified Ignition! The DUI is a high performance one piece ignition system that incorporates the coil in the cap and the module inside the distributor for a simple installation with a one wire hookup. The high voltage coil and high dwell module allow spark plug gaps to be opened up to an incredible .055″. The hotter spark in this wider gap creates a more efficient burn of the fuel mixture, which provides improved performance from idle to your maximum rpm. We also tune the advance in the distributor with a precise timing curve that will provide better throttle response, more power, more torque and eliminate any pre-detonation. The DUI features caps that are made with brass terminals for improved conductivity and less corrosion. Replacement parts are easy to find as you can use GM HEI parts if needed. MG models that are 1967 or older will require converting from a positive ground to a negative ground and must be converted from a 6 volt system to a 12 volt system. The MG DUI is covered by a one year warranty from date of purchase.
