Ford Explorers and Rangers with the fuel injected V6 have been virtually ignored by the performance aftermarket. Sure, you’ve been able to bolt on a beefy exhaust, high flow air filter and maybe a chip, but there is not much available when it comes to high output ignition systems for these engines.

Performance Distributors has addressed these needs with our high output Screamin’ Demon Coil and LiveWires Spark Plug Wires. The Ford Truck V6 Firepower Ignition Kit is designed to improve performance by enhancing the ignition system. The Screamin’ Demon Coil allows you to open up the spark plug gaps to .065″. The larger gap will expose a hotter, longer duration spark which will burn the fuel mixture more completely. In other words, when you “step on it”, your truck is going to respond! Because durability is important to you, we use high grade epoxy in our coils, which dissipates heat better and protects the windings from vibration.

LiveWires spark plug wires have also been developed for maximum spark delivery and long life. Although LiveWires cost more than other brands, they are the best value plug wires available for the quality. Built with a glass braid heat resistant sleeving, the LiveWires provide maximum performance by protecting the wire from the extreme under hood temperatures. They also provide a great high performance look for your V6. LiveWires are custom fit and numbered on each end for the correct cylinder, so no assembly is required. LiveWires feature a spiral core for radio suppression and very low resistance. Colors available are Black, Blue, Purple, Red, Silver and Yellow.
